Michalis Polydorides

Born in Lemesos, Cyprus in 1944

1961 - 1969 Studied in England - Qualified as Chartered Accountant.

1969 - 1970 Served in the Cyprus National Guard.

1970 - 1987 Partner of Scottis & Polydorides a firm of Chartered Accountants (1970-1983). Managing Partner of Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. Cyprus operations (1983-1987). PMM Cyprus was part of the European partnership of the international auditing and accounting firm of Peat Marwick.

1987 - 1996 In 1987 appointed Managing Director of KEO Group of companies, which is involved in alcoholic and other beverages.

August 1996 Director in Polydorides & Associates Consultants Ltd.

Sept.1993 - April 1999 President of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

July 1999 - Dec 2002 Member of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Honorary Treasurer.

Dec 2005 For his services to the Limassol Chamber and the wider commercial and industrial sector he has been awarded the distinction of the Honorary President of the Chamber.

Participation and Involvement:

Serve as member of the boards of many private and public companies as well as charitable and social work committees.

Kostas Polydorides

1996 – 2000 Studied in England - Oxford Brookes University
BSc (Honours) Hotel and Restaurant Management

Jan 2001 – Feb 2002 Cyprus International Institute of Management – CIIM
Master in Business Administration (MBA)

Mar 2002 – Dec 2003 In March 2002 appointed General Manager of Emerald Group of Companies, which is involved with services and trading operations. In June 2002 appointed Director of Emerald Group of Companies
Major responsibilities included the management and performance of the operations of the three offices of the Group (Limassol, Moscow, Toronto)

January 2004 In January 2004 joined the firm of Polydorides & Associates Consultants Ltd. In July 2004 appointed Director.
